Overview
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity to work with Dublin-based nonprofit ChangeX. I initially joined the organization as an Impact Intern. I later transitioned into a Design & Communications role, where I supported both the Impact and Communications teams through digital content creation, social media management, and community outreach initiatives.
Design & Communications
Over time, I created graphics and written content for social media campaigns, newsletters, fund launches, and impact reports. I also assisted with starter support inquiries and interviewed a ChangeX starter based in Virginia to help highlight community-driven initiatives and local impact stories.
As my responsibilities expanded, my role evolved into Design & Communications to better reflect my contributions across content creation, communications, and outreach efforts.
Community Outreach & Editorial
In addition to visual design work, I helped create press releases and developed press and social media guides for starters, encouraging them to connect with local media outlets and engage with their communities.

Reflection
Working with ChangeX allowed me to collaborate with an international team, connect with social innovators worldwide, and contribute to community-focused initiatives alongside corporate and nonprofit partners.
